A QUICK INTRO
If I was to introduce you to the Carnivore Diet and give you the most important reasons of why I would highly encourage you to look into it - I would tell you what follows below. I know it's a tad long but I believe that this is the only way to give you the full picture, so that you have a chance to gain knowledge about the carnivore diet that you might otherwise not come across, as in ever.
I wanted for it to be a one-stop shop for all carnivore beginners, so that you can clear some misunderstandings and confusions out there, not only about the diet itself but also about food in general.
I wanted to create it not only for those who are experiencing health issues but also because this knowledge will give you the tools that will contribute to your wellbeing and vitality in a major way that you probably never expected, and that you are unlikely to hear about it on the news or big social media outlets.
But if you give me a few mins of your precious time, I promise you will come to understand that this information is be one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, investment in not only your own health but also your loved ones. Once you have this knowledge nobody can take it away from you.
I believe it is our basic human right to know how to keep our body and mind in a state of optimal health, which the carnivore diet is one of the best expressions of there is.
The basic purpose of this website is to empower you.
What I put on this website is everything I learned about the carnivore diet over the years and what works so that all your questions will have been answered on this one website. And because I already talked to a number of people whenever a subject of some health issue comes up and I always seem to forget or miss to include a certain aspects of it - ones that I always think might just encourage you to give this diet a look or maybe even a try - I decided to write it all down with a purpose to convey my thoughts in a concise manner, so that maybe, if you are new to this subject, will decide to check out a few resources I included or click on a few videos and give this amazing diet a chance.
I tried to include everything you might want to know so that you leave here with all your confusions cleared and a sense of empowerment.
Because truly, Carnivore Wants to Heal You

Welcome to the Carnivore Community!

MY CARNIVORE BEGINNINGS
Anyway, hello! I'm Ava and a few years ago, in 2020, thanks to the Youtube algorithm, I accidentally came across a fragment of the now infamous lecture by dr. Anthony Chaffee, titled ‘Plants are trying to kill you’.
And you know what I’m going to say – I just HAD TO click on it 😃 And I know he admitted it was a deliberate clickbait – even though I’m not a fan of these I do think this one was very much excused and totally worth it!

Over the last few years I have actually become very passionate about this diet, so much so that I decided to enrol at a university to study nutrition, because I can't wait to learn the nooks, crannies and deeper secrets of what makes this diet so effective and seemingly miraculous in healing so many pains and ailments.

I can bet that if it wasn’t for that slightly absurd title it’s highly unlikely that a lot of people, including myself, would have clicked on it and subsequently received life changing information they not only haven’t heard anywhere, especially in the mainstream media, but believe the very opposite and also it’s highly unlikely they would have ever heard it anywhere else, ever!
Here us the clip if you want to check it out 👇
HAVE YOU HEARD BAD THINGS ABOUT
THE CARNIVORE DIET?
HERE IS THE TRUTH
Carnivore Diet today, in mid 2026, still has a very bad reputation - especially in larger cities where I currently reside, where vegetarianism and veganism are not only very much alive and popular, but have actually become a lifestyle and sometimes even an expression of fashion ( mostly due to lack of knowledge and misinformation but also, ironically, exacerbated by caring nature of many vegans and vegetarians ).
I think a lot of Carnivores hope that this will change soon, but with vegetarianism and veganism being currently hailed as the healthiest diets, chances of the reversal of lies, mistruths, misinformation and all associated might take a bit more time than those of us that already have this knowledge would hope for.
Personally, before I came across it, like a lot of people, I literally thought that the carnivore diet is a way that body builders and gym goers eat in order to build muscle and that it was it's sole purpose – and I thought – they are missing so many nutrients and it will be detrimental to their health! I thought it was irresponsible and largely about image. I never imagined I could have been so wrong.
The truth is that the Carnivore Diet is all about health, wellbeing and longevity.
In short - a happier life ❤️
(you will still gain strength and younger looks but as a side effect 😎)

WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE THE CARNIVORE DIET?
It's absurdly ironic that the carnivore diet turned out to be the exact opposite of what I thought it was about – in reality, a large majority of people introduced this diet into their lives because it's the best of so called 'elimination diets' - or a healing diet - which means that it eliminates or removes all the 'obstacles' for the body to heal itself - mostly toxins and everything that would get in the way of recovery, whilst at the same time it supplies the body with the nutrients it needs to support and rebuild itself.
So most people decide to try it due to various health issues. It heals so many different types of ailments, discomforts and what we know as ‘diseases’ that it’s really hard to wrap your head around it at the beginning and you end up scratching your head thinking - how is this even possible?! Here are the list of issues I put together:

AM I A STRICT CARNIVORE?
Unlike most people that start this diet I've never had any health issues. By the time I found that video I was doing keto ( or a ketogenic diet ) for a couple of years, which improved my health and weight in many respects, but when I heard that we don’t actually NEED vegetables ( which I was sort of forcing myself to eat ) and that I'll actually be healthier without them, I felt sort of... relieved :D
There are some veggies whose taste I sometimes crave, but it's mostly because of childhood memories floating back, but these are only a few and far in between, I never actually liked most vegetables 😊 And whilst I still have a bite or two ( purely because I miss certain childhood tastes sometimes ), I only felt better after ditching the veggies 😊
MY FIRST CANIVORE MEAL
I'll never forget my first carnivore meal - it was cod with some butter and after the meal it felt like a warm blanket wrapping my stomach - it was only then I realized that I often had this low key stomach pain, which I got so used to that I stopped noticing it. It was only when I wasn't ingesting plant toxins that I noticed the difference and the relief.
IS THE CARNIVORE DIET GOOD FOR MY PET?
Absolutely! Kerry from HomeSteadHow and dr. Shawn Baker explain:

EVERYONE KNOWS - KIDS HATE VEGETABLES
Small babies rely solely on their instincts and most of them will spit out the vegetables we try to force them to eat, because we have been sold the myth that they are 'good for us' ( which kids do eat because they want to please their parents )
We think we are doing a good thing by doing this. But this should tell us that babies' initial instincts are correct and are meant to protect them, which unfortunately gets overridden by mistruths later in life. As all parents know, most kids don't like vegetables - there may be lesson here :)

GOING STRICT CARNIVORE
Ever since I have introduced this way of eating into my life I have seen and felt fantastic changes. I have never gone strict carnivore but I intend to - shortly, just to completely heal some issues.
Although it’s been hard sometimes ( the cheeses, milks filled in my sometimes unstoppable emotional carb eating sessions, which I never properly attended to). Being on a carnivore diet I have already seen improvement in energy levels, sleep, brain fog lifting, more stable mood and so on.. So I'm very curious how it will feel when I go strict, at least for a while.
Dr. Chaffee says that many people who do feel almost superhuman.
I can't wait to know it feels!
IS IT WORTH GOING STRICT CARNIVORE?
This is the irony - because almost nobody in our society eats this way we do not have a frame of reference of how bad and low a lot of us have actually felt most of our lives, but due to the lack of frame we don't actually realize it.
It's only when we take this courageous step to cross that bridge and give it a few weeks that we realize that and are able to have comparison. Before that happens, this area is one dimensional.
So we have no chance of knowing how much better it feels - until we step into it.
Before we get there - there are only words. And it's the feelings that we make decisions with, so without knowing how it feels we don't really have a chance of finding that out.
Until we decide to take that first step. For a couple of weeks. Then maybe a month. Then for a further 3 or 6 months.
However, I do not recommend going strict right off the bat, your body needs time to adjust and get used to a new way of eating and switching to using fat as fuel. What I do recommend is that you make a plan of action - writing down a plan of deliberate cutting in half of carbohydrates until there are almost none in your diet. For details - please see 'planning' in the below section:

HOW CARNIVORE IS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER DIETS?
Everyone is different. Unlike many other diets, Carnivore is not a 'one size fits all' diet, because no diet is good for absolutely everyone. How quickly people see results depends on their current state of health and other factors, such how they deal with stress, community support ( it's soooo important to find support in carnivore communities ) and others.
Some people, for example, can't tolerate dairy and some people gain weight when they include dairy in their carnivore diet ( this happened to me ). So there are a few slightly different approaches. And the key is to find out what works for you, bearing in mind a few rules we should stick by, adjusting them slightly to our own needs. You can find our more info here:
I noticed that what seems to be a common theme is that a person will try it after, often in their own words, they 'tried everything' ( meaning every other diet - unfortunately these will often be completely inappropriate ).
But the carnivore diet is often rejected upon first hearing, because it seems 'extreme' and because unfortunately the public were completely missold on why it's not recommended ( as the recommendations are based on fraud and mistruths.
“The carnivore diet is not a one-size-fits-all solution, but for some people it can be an incredibly effective way to improve your health”
-Dr Shawn Baker
WHAT CONVINCED ME TO GO STRICT CARNIVORE?
There are 2 things that Dr Anthony Chaffee said that convinced me I should go strict carnivore, at least for a while– one was something to the effect of: ‘When I was training I just COULD NOT get tired, no matter how long the training session lasted’.
And the other thing was, also paraphrased, that about 95% of carnivores still have their coffee or something similar, but going that 5% further makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE and a lot of people start feeling off the charts amazing in body and mind.

WHY I RECOMMEND LOOKING INTO THE CARNIVORE DIET
Whenever I hear someone has health issues I always recommend they look into the Carnivore Diet with a brief explanation as to the reason.
I remember I was talking to this one person who said that her mum was sick with diabetes and was to have surgery and possibly have a part of her body removed – I introduced her to the diet and said that there are at least several cancer survivors accounts online and that she should look into it. She seemed positively surprised and said she will look into it.
When I asked her the next day what she thought she said she did not talk to her mum about it, adding something to the effect of 'she needs her sugar’. I was astonished – I kind of would understand if she actually told her mum about it and she was the one that made the decision she was not interested, but the daughter did not even tell her about it! After having a few similar type of reactions and kept thinking - I'm mystified as to how a person would just give up and would rather have a part of their body cut off ( or not even pass the info on, like the daughter in this case ), rather than looking into an idea that is slightly mentally uncomfortable ( due to sugar addiction and lack of knowledge ). I know that we are emotional creatures and they rule our lives over logic but the complete lack of interest or curiosity in some cases really throws me off.

WHY I CREATED THS WEBSITE
And this is one of the reasons I decided to create this website - because it’s quite taxing to not only introduce people to the diet, talk extensively, and in the end you don’t even know if their ‘ok, I’ll look into it’ means they actually will.
And if you ask them next time you see them - they usually give you some form of an excuse, as if I’m some sort of judge and jury and they owe me an explanation, instead of realizing that by not looking into it and giving it a chance they are shooting themselves in the foot, not me. I just think a lot of people fall into this cognitive dissonance upon hearing some of this information and don't know how to handle it. But I also don't want to waste time on those who have zero interest in it - which doesn't bother me. But what does bother me is when they are not upfront about it and I don't want to waste my time that I could put to a better use and engage with those who are actually interested. My goal is to introduce people to info that will likely be life changing for them and their families, giving them a chance to live a heppier life.
So I decided to put this website together and to put here all the info I gathered over the years in all the ways I can to encourage people to at least have a look, have a listen. You know, it’s your life, you can then decide you don’t want to do it, but at least you will be fully informed as to why you might be not well health wise.
For anyone that cares about their health, wellbeing and longevity I strongly encourage you to look into the materials I gathered here, because this diet is one of the best investment of your time and effort into your physical and mental health, and subsequently in your future, there is.
IS THE CARNIVORE DIET FOR EVERYONE?
Apart from a few exceptions I don't think that absolute truths do us much good in general- including that the Carnivore Diet is good for everything, everyone and at all times. Dr Ken Berry called it a PHD - ‘Proper Human Diet’ and said that this is the best diet for probably around 80% people ( paraphrasing ). The remaining 20% may have a genetically adjusted ability to enjoy and process some plant based foods in limited quantities without paying a hefty price for it, provided that largely they don't also regularly consume processed foods, excess carbs, sugars or seed oils.
But for all of us – the very least we should be provided with is information on what is the OPTIMAL human diet, one that makes us thrive. Then we can make our own choices. If we don't have this knowledge we are robbed of the opportunity to make the best decisions for ourselves - personally, having experienced results I'm never going back to the 'standard' way of eating.
By not having this knowledge I feel like we are being robbed of our birth right and an opportunity of of living our best lives and making the best decisions for ourselves - which we only can make if we have all the pieces of the puzzle.
And we know that the most important thing in life is our health.
WE CAN BE HEALTHY FOR MUCH LONGER THAN WE'VE BEEN TOLD.
Many people’s lives are cut short by years or decades and plagued by horrible diseases, which in many cases could be prevented, all because they were never provided with this information, have been mislead by fraudulent research or straight up lied to.
You know these dear old ladies and gents all bent down because their bones and muscles have lost their strength due to malnutrition? Not to mention the cognitive decline - knowing what I know now and what an easy fix it is - it's really heartbreaking to watch.
When in a healthy body we are supposed to live somewhere between 120 and 140 years. So those little old ladies who in their 60s or 70s are barely able to function and whose connection with themselves and the outside world has dropped down dramatically is really hard for me to watch sometimes.
In a healthy body 80 - 85 is actually supposed to be your middle age as opposed to it heading towards a physical and psychological decline.
Checkout 85 yr old Maggie the Rancher, who has been Carnivore for 65 yrs!

There are 2 main reasons I got interested in this diet - one is that it often fixes and reverses chronic diseases and insulin resistance.
The other is invisible - it's prevention; but it's more than that - when your health and psychological state is in an optimal state you are thriving - AND you can feel it in your body! That's the real goal of the carnivore diet!

MY FAVOURITE THING ABOUT CARNIVORE
This is actually my favourite aspect of the Carnivore Diet - when I read stories of 'carnivore improved this or healed that' that, there seems to be this underlying sense of almost euphoria, because it's the only solution that I have ever come across that solves many seemingly incurable issues.
I intend to add a lot more materials to this website as time goes on. In the future this website will evolve into a hub of information about more detailed aspects of the carnivore diet for those who are interested in exploring more, but for now I wanted to give everyone a hub of basic knowledge so that they have all the necessary info to get started and feel better in no time.
